Hi All, Given the expected weather conditions for Sunday morning our class tomorrow will be cancelled and we will reconvene next week and carry on as usual. Perhaps take the time to do some personal practice and be safe if you need to be out and about.
Yoga with Bill will recommence next Sunday, November 24th, at our usual time 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Our central theme this year will be Experiencing The Breath and we will spend more time in Pranayama practice each week exploring various patterns of breathing and how we might integrate these not only into our yoga classes but into our lives.
Classes are gentle enough for beginners while more advanced practitioners are invited to deepen their experience with various modifications. We start with progressive dynamic movements of body and breath to warm up and prepare for the asana practice following which we will release ourselves to deep relaxation for a full 20 minutes. Our closing period of Integration will include our Pranayama and Meditation.
All are welcome and although these are drop in classes, I do encourage commitment to regular attendance so the full benefit of exploring our theme might be realized over the months we practice together (November-June).
As usual, Dana (generosity) is our guiding principle. All classes are offered freely out of the heart and practitioners are invited to offer donation from their heart to enable others to explore the experience.
We will be having our silent Retreat Days for the current Mindfulness and Conscious Living (MCL) program participants this Saturday and Sunday, October 26th and 27th and next Saturday November 2nd. There are still a few spaces available for any one who has completed a past MCL program who might want to join us for a refresher. Please call the office at 452-7116 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
